Izumi Takagi is a Japanese Canadian pop songwriter, lyricist and keyboardist based in Stockholm. Successes include two single releases with MTV’s Making His Band reality show star and electronic artist, MEG, and a release of a single, “In Your Eyes” with Grammy winning artist, John “JR” Robinson (Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, David Foster). A Toronto native, Izumi is known for her pop sensibilities, with her strengths lying in lyrics, hooks and melodies. In 2009, Izumi graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston with a degree in contemporary writing and production. Thereafter she continued at New York University studying recording techniques and mastering. She continues to collaborate with talented songwriters, producers and artists.
